About Me

Hi, my name is Zeeshan. I am BS Computer Science graduate and a software engineer working in Blockchain space. I am primarily interested in distributed systems and computer networks, and consesus algorithms. I actively code in blockchain and research on what makes one blockchain different from other. As a software engineer, I also have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud native applications on AWS using IaC and CI/CD tools. I love functional programming and try to employ it in my work. I am fascinated by Blockchain tech revolutionizing the world with different technological transitions happening in DeFi and NFT space.

Technologies: Golang, Rust, Node.js, Clarity, NEAR, Solidity, Gqlgen, AWS, Docker, Terraform, CircleCI

Projects

Integrating Chainlink with Stacks Blockchain

Worked on the Stacks-Chainlink integration. I worked on automating EI-EA registration, job creation, integration testing using Jest and Docker/Docker-Compose, Stacks node’s Testnet deployment, subscribing to oracle contract events on the Testnet. Integration testing required automated running of different docker containers in a predefined order and cleaning the whole docker/docker-compose environment(containers, volumes) after the tests were done. I set up docker-compose configurations and defined the order by which containers should spin up.

NFT Marketplace on NEAR

Created Dapps, Social coins, NFTs, NFT marketplace, and content-based NFT protocols on the NEAR blockchain using Rust targeting WASM VM.

Analyzing Newly Listed Cryptoassets

Created a project for concurrently retrieving trading data of newly listed coins on Messari.io, Coinmarketcap, and Coingeko using publicly available APIs and then analyzing it based on different attributes such as market cap, trading volume, category, etc, for making efficient trading decisions.

Tor Research Project

Collected and Analyzed data pertinent to ads served on Alexa top 500 sites; studied different characteristics of ads such as language, area served, target audience, etc. Examined the impact of different Circumvention mechanisms on the online advertising system. Devised a mechanism to serve geographically relevant ads to users in Tor Browser without undermining their anonymity.

Emulating impact of EVs

Devised an optimal night scheduling solution for electric vehicle charging by analyzing LESCO last six months of Grid Load data, available at the granularity of 15 mins; devised different Machine Learning and Regression techniques in R to better forecast energy usage; the model predicted household electricity usage with 97% accuracy.
